Presented by the German artist's in their air b&b during a two week visit to NYC, Their professor, Sophia Von Hemmleman, solo exhibited at Greene Naftali in this time while they all visited the US for the very first time. Using only materials that can be found in the states, they experimented with ideas of Americana. Eventually producing a cast made of an eaten soft-shell crab installed in a microwave, rubber babies adhered to duct-tape, a cut pad-lock a found little wooded shoe. The artists observed NYC culture sketches of Time-Square, Central Park, dream friends leading them through the Cowboy land, Winnie-the-pooh in gel-glitter pen, and watercolors of Sex in the City and a plex-glass home away from home or simply impressions of moments from the visitation. Culminating a doubling of a dank basement questionably converted into a place for 5 artists to abide and put their touch on interior decoration as it were. Charmoli Ciarmoli was invited to visit the artist's curation and offered to present the work through our exhibition platform.
